Former students have the opportunity to use the university and its facilities as a lifelong academic and research centre. Graduates can also contact the alumni office to receive information about the university or skill development and other continuing education programs. Furthermore, Alumni Freiburg has information about various alumni communities and clubs, and has established a marketplace for easy access to people with a wide range of expertise.

Alumni Freiburg can also help you establish new contacts or renew old ones. We will gladly help former students get in touch with their former classmates and friends. Another opportunity to meet with former students of the university is the international Alumni Meeting. This event brings alumni both from near and far back to Freiburg and offers them a multifaceted view of the current academic programs. Cultural events, such as the University Summer Ball, also play a prominent role during the Alumni Meeting.

International clubs form an important part of the alumni network by linking the university to its global network of graduates. Numerous alumni clubs have been established in Germany and abroad. These clubs provide former students and employees insight into current academic activities and research at the university and bring the graduates together at local cultural and club events. Not to mention, the information forums established by Alumni Freiburg act as a guide to encourage enrolled students to begin their professional career development.
