Update for Translation Classes from SS 2012 onwards for all students
From SoSe 2012 onwards:
1. The two Foundation Courses and requirements will remain the same.
2. The (new) Translation class, as a requirement for all GymPO and BA students, will have a central exam at the end of term. WissPO students are also welcome to take this class and will get a ‘Schein’ under the usual conditions.
3. There will be two new categories of language classes – Advanced Language Practice I & II, open to ALL students of English Studies (WissPO, GymPO, & BA). They are non-consecutive, i.e. the order in which they are taken is immaterial, since the figures I & II refer to the type of class and not the degree of difficulty. ALP I classes come under the general heading of ‘Language in Context’. ALP II classes come under the general heading of ‘Exposition and Argumentation’.
4. Until 2016, there will still be two classes outside the above categories, exclusively for WissPO students. They are Translation Advanced & Translation for Exam Candidates.
