ArchWay

Wayfinding with sematic maps:The project investigates human navigation in real and virtual environments.

2005 - 2006

SFBTR 8 Spatial Cogntion Reasoning, Action, Interaction. On 1 Jan 2003, the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) established the interdisciplinary Transregional Collaborative Research Center (SFB/TR 8) at the Universities Bremen and Freiburg (Coordinator: Prof. Christian Freksa, Ph.D.). The SFB/TR8 is concerned with the acquisition, organization, utilization, and revision of knowledge about spatial environments, be it real or abstract, human or machine. Research issues range from the investigation of human spatial cognition to mobile robot navigation. The goal of the SFB/TR 8 is to investigate the cognitive foundations for human-centered spatial assistance systems. 2003 - 2006
LogoSpace Constraint-Based Reasoning in Qualitative Spatio-Temporal Calculi: The psychological part of the project investigated the cognitive reality of temporal and spatial formal calculi. 2003 - 2006
BackSpace Effects of Background Knowledge on Human Spatial Reasoning: The project uses behavioral experiments, functional brain imaging, and computational modeling to explore the interaction between background knowlege and spatial reasoning. 2003 - 2006

MapSpace
