Prof. Dr. Dr. Christian Friedrich is trained as a chemical engineer.
He works since 1976 in the area of rheology of polymeric and related materials. Since several years he works with ionic liquids as solvents for polymers and other substances. He became interested in the investigation of the thermorheological, including viscous properties of crystallisable and vitreous ionic liquids in broad temperature ranges.
