Research at the Department of Medical Biometry and Statistics
The core task of the department is the development of statistical methods for research in medicine and life sciences. In cooperation with scientists from the respective fields, the department supports the appropriate interpretation of research results by providing accurate planning, purposive collection and preparation of necessary data as well as their adequate statistical analysis. The department also supports young researchers by supervising their theses (e.g., diploma thesis) and offering them the possibility to write their doctorate or professorial dissertation and diploma thesis at the Institute.
