Research at the Institute of Medical Biometry and Statistics

The core task of the institute is the development of statistical methods for research in medicine and life sciences. In cooperation with scientists from the respective fields, the department supports the appropriate interpretation of research results by providing accurate planning, purposive collection and preparation of necessary data as well as their adequate statistical analysis. The institute also supports young researchers by supervising their theses (e.g., master thesis) and offering them the possibility to write their doctorate or professorial dissertation at the institute.
