Why study?
There are many reasons why a university degree programme makes more sense than an industrial training programme, especially since a university degree is only minimally longer than a training programme.

Why study in Freiburg?
Unlike many cities which boast a university, Freiburg is a true student town. One out of every six people living in Freiburg is enrolled at one of Freiburg’s higher education institutions. Freiburg’s students contribute to the city’s lively atmosphere.

Why study at the Faculty of Engineering?
The Faculty of Engineering is a new division of the University of Freiburg, which is a traditional, comprehensive university. The University of Freiburg’s wide variety of established programmes provides the Faculty with an enriching academic environment. One of the Faculty of Engineering’s main goals is to enable students to pursue their studies independently and responsibly. Students therefore learn valuable research methods and acquire professional skills early on in their studies.
