Transinterpret in Switzerland

With its great diversity of cultural and natural landscapes, Switzerland is ideal for embarking on journeys of discovery. Apart from the spectacular Swiss Alps, it is the wine-growing areas, lakes and rivers or historical towns that are firm favourites for visitors from Switzerland or abroad.  Interpretive trails, exhibitions, excursions and other provisions have become important elements of visitor management and PR both in rural regions and in urban centres.

The Swiss partners provide the Content Management System for these web pages and develop the international Transinterpret database so that it can be made accessible via the internet at a later stage. Since 2005, the  Transinterpret Swiss Advisory Centre has advised and coached local and regional project teams in the planning and implementation of interpretive projects throughout Switzerland.

The following projects benefited from our monitoring:

  • Thurgau Geological Cycle Route: Cycle trail
  • The Saas-Fee trail: Thematic trail
  • The Sun trail on the Hannig: Interactive thematic trail

    Our current projects:
  • Saas-Fee glacier trail
  • Saas-Fee glacier museum
  • Visitor information Pro Natura
