Transinterpret Swiss Advisory Centre

The Swiss Transinterpret connection is centered in Brig (Wallis). Here, the Helvetian Transinterpreters founded the Transinterpret Swiss Advisory Centre in 2005. The Advisory Centre acts as a point of contact for any questions on heritage interpretation and actively accompanies local and regional interpretive projects such as interpretive trails, discovery routes, guided walks, exhibitions and visitor centres throughout Switzerland.

Our services range from one-off consultation to project management.
Depending on your need, we either assist you in the implementation of your project or carry out the entire process in accordance with your ideas. We support you in developing new projects and also assist in the renovation or re-development of existing interpretation.

On your request we will:

  • support you in developing initial project ideas and finding sources of funding,
  • support you throughout the conceptual stages of your projects,
  • coach you in interpreting landscapes,
  • develop ideas for thematic trails,
  • advise you in conceptualising and implementing exhibitions,
  • collate the required know-how for field excursions,
  • assist you in developing layouts, graphic design and copy writing for your products (panels, brochures, guided tours, interactive elements),
  • assist you in developing related programmes around your interpretive provisions,
  • award the Transinterpret Quality Label,
  • put you in touch with an international network,
  • carry out visitor surveys and evaluate your provisions...

... and many more.

Our team  comprises natural and social scientists with long-standing experience in the fields of communication, environmental education, tourism and rural development. If you are interested in heritage interpretation, are planning an interpretive project or already working on it, please do not hesitate to contact us:
