Since the beginning of the registration period for the summer semester 2008, the University of Freiburg offers a new procedure to register to its students: the Online Service Systems HIS-LSF. With this system the students have the possibility to register online https://www.verwaltung.uni-freiburg.de/qis by a direct debit (you’ll need a German bank account to do this). However, you can still pay the tuition fees (in cash or with your bank card) at the Financial Transactions Office or by transferring the money.
If you want to transfer the amount of 105.00 €, please transfer it to the following bank account:
Account name: Universitätskasse Freiburg
Account number: 7438508768
Bank code number (BLZ): 60050101
Bank: Baden-Württembergische Bank, Freiburg
Amount: 105.00 Euro
Reason for payment: Please enter only 10 digits. They consist of your student number (Matrikelnummer; seven digits, e.g. 1234567), two digits for the year (e.g. 08 for 2008, 09 for 2009, 10…), and one digit for the semester (1 = summer semester, 2 = winter semester).
For instance: 1234567082, 1234567091, 1234567092,…
From abroad, please transfer the money in EUROS to
- for the winter semester: between 1 June – 30 June
- for the summer semester: between 15 January – 15 February
For several reasons it is no longer possible to register at the new terminals nor at the old ones which are still in use.
Besides having the opportunity to register online, you can now also change your contact details (address and telephone) or print out your certificates of enrollment. The certificate has been completed with a verification number to confirm its validity. As you can now print out your certificates of enrollment on your own at home, they are no longer printed on special university paper. To enable external institutions to verify that the certificate is valid, it can be checked by its verification number via internet. No personal data will be exposed. Only the information printed on the certificate (student’s name and enrollment) will be confirmed.
You'll need to activate LSF access on your student account from the Computing Service (RZ) in order to log into the pages. To do so, you only need to enter a valid e-mail address in "myAccount" (if you have not done so yet).
The iTAN procedure – familiar to many from online banking – is now used to secure the registration and change of address procedures.
Information on your first iTAN list
If you registered before summer semester 2009, you received your first iTAN list from the Student Registration Office by mail. The list contains 20 numbered 6-digit TANs (random numbers). If you want to change your address or enter your bank account information to register for direct debit payment, you will be requested to enter a TAN from your list.
From summer semester 2009 on, newly registered students can make their first iTAN list online at http://www.verwaltung.uni-freiburg.de/qis.
In order to make (1.) and activate (2.) a new iTAN list, please enter your date of birth in six-digit format: ddmmyy. Example: If your birth date were June 7, 1989, you would enter 070689 (07 for the day, 06 for the month, and 89 for the year).
You can also make new iTAN lists online using the last iTAN from your current list.
The UniCard team is responsible for all post returns and supports you if you have lost your iTAN list or have any further questions about it.
For further questions concerning your Computing Service (RZ) Account, please contact the support service of the Computing Service (RZ), and for further questions on the registration procedure in general (e.g. blockings, deadlines…), please contact the Registration Office.
